Donkey Kong Country Returns

DK, DK, furry beast,
From the island in the East,
I’ll review your latest game.
Is it worthy of your name?

Dark green jungles, bright blue skies,
Dazzle gamers’ jaded eyes.
Blocky edges might remain,
Clever art style avoids strain!

Snappy gameplay, sharp controls
(shaking works for apish rolls.)
Swing on vines, from barrels shoot;
Hard but fair, and fun to boot!

Two may play, but we did find
It was made with one in mind.
Screens seem much too small to share,
Death comes should you not take care.

DK, DK, furry beast,
From the island in the East,
I’ve reviewed your latest game:
It is worthy of your name.

Night Trap

Trigger traps and catch vampires galore,
as they enter through window or door.
    It’s mostly “Full-Motion”,
    but caused much commotion
for the nightgowns as much as the gore.

Missile Command

Shoot down the missiles
Spin the ball and fire away!
Perhaps too simple?

Gunblade NY and LA Machineguns Arcade Hits Pack

Blast apart polygonal robots
Not quite on rails but scripted still;
Madcap fast-moving action,
Spin, aim, and shoot to kill.

Good but much too short
(Twenty minutes)
Sega-style
Arcade
Fun.

FlingSmash

Swing the remote, whack the protagonist,
Bash the blocks and gather pearls.

Fight some blurry shadow antagonist,
As he dodges and he whirls.

Horizontal scrolling madness,
Modern, zippy Breakout clone.
Rather short, no replay (sadness),
Worthwhile bundled – NOT alone.
